Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C - Finally Announced with New Features and Price.
Finally the rumors came to reality and the much awaited phone by Apple fans are launched at Cupertino, California. The company launched two versions of the iPhone 5 i.e. iPhone 5S which is upgraded model of iPhone 5 and other one is iPhone 5C which is believed to be of cheap price to compete with mid-range smartphones.

iPhone 5S design is not different than iPhone 5 with only minor change to Home button.
Apple iPhone 5S holds much more of ‘S’ with some changes in internal features. iPhone 5S is equipped with hardware that allows you to run 64 bit apps while previous models ran at 32 bit. It will also offer addition of built-in finger print scanner to provide an extra layer of security and new A7 processor which is more twice faster than A6 according to Apple.
With iPhone 5S, company has added two more colors to its flagship phone – lighter grey which may be modification of white color model and champagne gold.

iPhone 5S is expected to come with better camera and rumors suggest that camera may go up to 13 MP with dual LED flash. It is expected to come with new type of flash called True Tone which will automatically remove whitish blue tint out of your captured photos.

Finally the most awaited phone of the year is officially released is going to available in the market from 1st October on selected network companies. AT&T has already started taking orders and it is going to available at $300 of 32 GB model with two year contract while T-Mobile will start just day after that. Verizon also announced about its availability from 10th October with same $300 of 32 GB model with two year contract. You can also pay $300 extra to get Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch to accompany your Galaxy Note 3. Some carrier networks may provide Galaxy Gear smartwatch for free with Note 3 contract. If you wish to buy without contract then it may cost USD $700.

Google has announced the release of Android 4.4 named KitKat while everybody was expecting Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie which was expected to release in October 2013. Still Android 4.3, Jelly Bean is not yet released to upgradable smartphones except Nexus phones and tablets. Hence, the hopes are high to have the first look of Android 4.4 in Nexus series.

Google hasn’t declared about its features yet but it is rumored that KitKat will also be available to Android devices with lower RAM such as 512 MB and running older version of Android, 2.3 Gigerbread.

The Finland phone maker company which once dominated the mobile phone market now falls into the arms of U.S giant software maker, Microsoft. Two days back Microsoft announced that it will now handle Nokia’s phone business and license its patent for $7.2 billion (€5.44 billion) to stand in the competition against its all time rivals, Apple, the developer of trending iPhone & iPad and Google, known for the best mobile operating system, Android.

It was considered as major step in company’s progress transforming itself
from software maker for desktop and laptop to mobile phones.

Out of $7.2 Billion, $5 billion (€3.79 billion) are paid for the Nokia mobile phone manufacturing unit including Lumia series and $2.2 Billion (€1.65 billion) are paid for using Nokia’s patent for 10 years license agreement. Also Ballmer added that Microsoft will set up new data center to serve European customers which will cost more than $250 Millions.

It is expected that deal will be completed within the first two or three months of 2014 after approval by Nokia’s shareholders and regulations. If everything went according to schedule, around 32,000 Nokia employees will be transferred to Microsoft who is having 99,000 employees currently.
In 2011, Nokia joint hands with Microsoft to use Microsoft’s software in Nokia’s mobile phones. But still it lacks to beat Apple iPhone and Google Android phones. As now Microsoft will look over mobile phones, it will be interesting to see all the three rivals competing against each other to survive in the market.
